Case Manager

Location: Warrington
Type: Permanent
Salary: £22,000

Want to work in a contact centre with a difference?

Working as a case manager might be what you’re looking for. You will be working for an award-winning and market leading organisation focused on debt collection, who have been established for over 30 years, have grown rapidly over the last 4 years and look set to continue in their growth having achieved outstanding results.

Underpinning our business, indeed everything we do, is the set of values and behaviours which guide us.

· Attainment of excellence – ‘good enough’ is not good enough

· Outstanding teamwork

· Trusted relationships with our clients and 3rd parties

· Creativity & enterprise

Our case managers are the hub of our business, managing their own caseload of accounts and taking ownership for successful collection outcomes. With a combination of both inbound and outbound calls, you will be dealing with account holders whose own aims and outcomes are often diametrically opposed to that of our clients, so you’ll need strength of character and resilience. The accounts that we manage are generally those where there has been no payment at all for significant periods and in the vast majority we are dealing with account holders who won’t pay rather than those who can’t. So your excellent analytical, influencing, negotiating and communication skills are essential in obtaining the best solution for all parties – an appropriate repayment arrangement based upon an account holder’s circumstances. In addition, you’ll need a keen eye for detail along with a confidence to challenge and question and a clear telephone manner.

With a thorough training programme, we’ll develop your existing skills to ensure that you become:

· Fully conversant with the legal process involved in debt recovery

· Confident in investigation and problem solving on your accounts

· Empathetic yet firm in negotiation

You’ll be joining a progressive company with a supportive leadership team along-side your colleagues who are knowledgeable, well trained and confident. We’ve developed our employment offer to include:

    · Starting salary of £22,000

    · Bonus scheme

    · 25 days holidays plus 8 statutory bank holidays

    · Bupa Healthcare

    · Pension

    · Progression and career opportunities

    · Continued training, development and support

    · A fun and vibrant office with great facilities

Ideally if you have a background in debt recovery, negotiation, sales or finance we’d like to hear from you. We’re particularly interested if you are:

    · A self-starter who is keen to learn

    · Someone who takes pride in their work

    · An individual who can demonstrate conversational telephone techniques and has an active listening approach

Of course, we have a few things we insist upon; such as a grade A* to C in both Maths and English GCSEs or equivalent, an enhanced DBS check and a clear credit record.

I have really enjoyed the training it’s unlike any job I have had before, there is so much support from day one, and I was made to feel so welcome. The training was fun and interactive; it allows me to step outside of my comfort zone. All of the trainers are so lovely and friendly; they just genuinely want you to do well. I have loved the first few months here at Restons and I look forward to the future.

    Our employees say:
I have been at Restons for nearly two and a half years now, during that time I’ve learned a lot about the legal system and how debt collection is managed. Initially I was a bit unsure about companies that handle debt collection, but after seeing first-hand the way that the case managers at Restons treat people as individuals, taking their personal circumstances and affordability of repayments into consideration, any concerns I had were quickly alleviated.

My day to day role is fast paced and varied which can be a little stressful at times but with approachable, supportive colleagues I never really feel like I’m struggling or out of my depth. Restons really cares about the happiness and wellbeing of their staff, with a well-equipped breakout area, breakfast club, social events, etc. I don’t think I’ve ever worked at another company that provides the same level of social interaction and staff engagement that goes on here.

    Senior Developer
I have been employed by Restons for just over a year now. I originally applied for an Administrative Assistant role, however during my training period I was promoted to a Team Leader Assistant. I worked within this role for a month and gained a lot of experience corresponding directly with our Clients. During my time as a Team Leader Assistant, Restons recognised my skill set within letter writing and as such, I was moved to the Correspondence department. Here, I worked as a Correspondence Assistant before recently being promoted to a Correspondence Case Manager. I now manage my own worklist and correspond with our Customers on a day to day basis.

Restons ensure that they invest their time in their employees and recognise the potential of each individual. At Restons, we have monthly social events, birthday meals and collections for charities/birthdays/weddings. This allows individuals from different departments to interact and get to know each other. I thoroughly enjoy working at Restons and look forward to what the future holds.
